"Will you wake him?"
"No, not I, for if I do, he'll surely cry."
But, once awake
No walls could hold him.
His explorations
Sent us all to search,
Sometimes just next door
Or just down the block.
But once, three year-old feet
Carried him miles
Into the desert's vastness.
"Where?", you ask, and "Why?".
"To look."
Oh, Little Boy Blue, may you always look
Beyond the next horizon.
