In My Garden - Loneliness

Loneliness
Love came and then was gone.
I was alone again,
Only now,
Loneliness was something I understood.
Where before I had covered its sharp edges
With the hope of what was yet to come,
It now was naked,
An unsheathed sword
That cut from me the remembered happiness
And made it sorrow.
